Although The Cheese Course Bistro & Cheese Market features more than 100 artisanal cheeses from around the world, it’s so much more than a gourmet cheese market. It’s also a European-style bistro with tasty sandwiches, savory soups and fresh salads, and is home to Boulder’s best happy hour. Enjoy $9 bottles and $3 glasses of house wine, as well as $3 craft beers, daily, from 5 p.m. to close. It’s a lovely way to wind down the work day, while sharing a custom cheese course on The Cheese Course’s sunlit patio.

What exactly is a “cheese course?” It’s a simple selection of three types of cheese, paired with an accompaniment, such as the house-made Pesto or fig spread, Marcona almonds or sundried tomatoes, and a meat, like spicy chorizo or imported Soppressata.

The baguettes are baked fresh daily with dough imported from Spain. The Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato Sandwich is the best seller and makes a delightful lunch on its own or as part of a “Perfect Pairing” where you can order a half-sandwich along with a side salad or cup of soup for $9.99.

The Cheese Course first opened its doors in Florida in 2000. It grew from a beloved single store to a thriving collection of seven stores. The Boulder location is The Cheese Course’s first venture outside of Florida. According to Owner Joe Malegni, “We chose Boulder because it’s a sophisticated market where people are interested in savoring the world’s finest flavors and learning about new tastes.”

The Cheese Course is located on the southwest corner of the Village, near The Great Harvest Bread Co. and Rincon Argentino and around the corner from The Colorado Swim Shop. Learn more at cheesecourse.com.
